Art Gallery

After reading "Snowy Day", each student wrote and illustrated his or her own version of the story.  We had an Art Gallery in the hallway so that everyone could share their fabulous artwork.

Coding and More!

This week we are learning about coding. Students are the boss and they program a small ball to roll the ways they want it to.  We have been working hard to program our ball through the maze!

In December we are focusing on giving to others. We listened to a story called “Those Shoes” and talked about different ways to help people in need.

In math, we are exploring lots of shapes! Our next unit teaches us about 2D shapes like triangles, squares, circles and more. We had fun using all of the math manipulatives!

Readers Workshop

We have been practicing building our reading stamina. Kindergarteners have been showing all of their strategies during independent reading like pointing below words, reading the illustrations and hunting for sight words. We read for 5 minutes today!
